Brazil survived Game 1 and received a very UN-deserved 3 points in the opening match against Croatia.
Brazilians are futbol fanatics, and I can't wait to see the headlines for this match. The fact is that Brazil looked VERY beatable, and they were VERY lucky to come out of this game with 3 points.
Brazil "won" the game 3-1, but that scoreline does not tell the whole story. Croatia deserved a draw, and Brazil won the game thanks to a dodgy penalty call and some poor goalkeeping from Croatian keeper Pletikosa.
A sublime dive by Fred... I love that... "proper Brazilian name"... led to the second goal which Pletikosa should have stopped... actually DID stop.... but somehow went through his hands to put Brazil on top.
I hope and pray that if there is any justice in the world - and clearly there isn't - that Croatia go through, because they deserved a draw out of this game.
And this Brazilian team is NOT going to win the World Cup if they continue to play like this.
